Chinpei is a very nice and friendly place. I can see this being a popular hangout among older regulars. However, my experience with their ramen and other foods were so-so. The ramen noodles were good, the soup base was decent but the char siu was less than average and kind of fatty. I liked their fried rice but the gyoza was not so good. I've only been there once so I can't judge all the food but I just wanted to try their ramen. I don't want to assume anything but this reminds me of a place that have some menu items that are really good and that people will come back for over and over again.
